Originally founded in Brooklyn, Design Unsanctioned is a Philadelphia based multidisciplinary design studio launched with a goal of producing well designed, locally crafted high quality products. It was started by industrial designer Konrad Giersz, Polish transplant who moved to United States ten years ago and Brittany Dolence, art director, Ohio native and a Brooklynite for the past eleven years. Through their designs they set to explore collisions between traditional materials, craftsmanship, functionality and progressive, modern technology.
Konrad is the guy who brings product design and production experience to the table. Having worked with companies such as Fisher-Price, K'Nex, Snapple, Dr.Pepper, Pepsi and many more he possesses knowledge necessary for developing and producing goods either abroad or locally.
Brittany's understated sense of aesthetic is what makes Design Unsanctioned so appealing. She is the person running everything from behind the scenes, from photography to packaging. Through working with brands such as Brooks Brothers, Free People, Anthropologie, Bloomingdales and Nordstrom she has developed an impeccable sense for branding and art direction.
